Etsy Finds for Imminent Autumn

The days have been getting a little shorter, and the nights a little colder. To me, this is the perfect time of year. It makes me want slouchy hats and pumpkin pie spice, crisp cool starry nights with the smell of a wood burning fire. Ooh, I just want to cozy up with a hot chai. Here's a little of what's been tugging at my fall heart-strings for the past few days.

one >>> birch bark cuff bracelet, bettula
two >>> vintage book apple, Hi Butterfly
three >>> spiced rim sugar, Dell Cove Spice Company
four >>> classic hiking boots, 20 Twenty Vintage
five >>> caramel apple, Sweet Legacy Gourmet
six >>> wolf silhouette in bark, wildpulp

I've got a ton of pictures to work through from the month of August. It's high priority on my list of things to do tomorrow, which also includes wrapping some bridal shower gifts (cannot wait to share the engagement pictures with you!), and updating my 11-days-lapsed chalkboard calendar for the upcoming weeks. It's time to get everything in gear for the upcoming holidays.
Yea, they're coming... but even better than that - it'll be ski season before I know it!

Anyone else as excited about the changing seasons (and leaves) as I am?!

Holy Etsy Update, Dude.

Oh my god you guys. I've been awful! I honestly don't even know where I've been for the past week or so. Here mostly, but not really here.. on the blog, that is. I was you know, trying to stay cool, nursing a sick cat, drinking wine, hanging-over, catching up with old friends, winning giveaways (went with the terrabiza), intensely organizing - all those things that keep one at bay.

While I was doing all that, the ever supportive & equally inspiring Bhrett featured my photograph in A Little Etsy Love's Giveaway! It's under the Adventure Traveler section - and thus inspired an enormous, long overdue etsy overhaul.

Because I have far too many images in queue... I'm talking, if-they-weren't-digital-and-shared-my-space-I'd-be-a-hoarder number of images waiting to load, I have to work thematically or brain'll explode. To save myself that hell, I stuck with a strict road trip photo only policy for the initial spruce-up.

Don't they make you want to hop in your car and just drive? I'm hoping for holiday season camping in The Keys if we can't make it to Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon before snowfall this year. I get ridiculously antsy for uncharted adventure when life starts to feel routine. And also, I've never been anywhere tropical. True story.

Have any special trips on the agenda for the rest of the summer? Or maybe the fall?
What's the best / longest / most memorable road trip you've ever taken? Spill it!

Oh, and if you're in the mood for browsing, take a peek at my new and improved shop!

Happy Solstice!

via: maechevrette
I'm heading out solo to the beach today. They're saying it's going to be a hot one, and in honor of my birthday week, I say screw it, I'm not sitting around inside waiting until it's hot enough to turn on the air conditioner. Get me outside! I don't need more than a good book, a towel, and some sunscreen for total relaxation.

Anyone else doing something special in honor of summer/the longest day of the year?

Boho Bracelet Mail Call

I have a really hard time with checking the mail often enough. When I looked on Monday and had a USPS "Sorry We Missed You!" registered parcel notice from a week earlier, I wasn't particularly shocked. However, I had no idea what it could possibly be. Sometimes late night online shopping gets the better of me..

The sun finally came out this afternoon, so I walked over to the post office to find:
International mail! Isn't it the coolest? I honestly don't know that I've gotten any before.  If it wasn't for the customs declaration, I wouldn't have had a clue what was inside, but then remembered finding some adorable, very inexpensive bohemian style bracelets at Goldbell while perusing Etsy a few weeks ago.

Check out the goods.
The green multi-colored one is actually an anklet ($5), and the next two with the jagged clear and turquoise stones only cost me $6 each. Because I bought the first 3, the turquoise with bell beads was free!
(The leather's a constant on my wrist, and was not purchased from Thailand.)

They haven't relisted the bracelets above yet, but you should definitely check out the shop to see if there's anything you'd dig. There are a ton of bracelets perfect for stacking, and the buy 3 get 1 deal sure makes them worth it!

I hope the sun's shining wherever you are today!
It's time for a little kitchen action.
Dishes and dinner await!
